The Grammys red carpet has come and gone, and for a show about music, celebrities came out in full force to show off their style—for better or worse. While we look back the good, the bad, and the bizarre—including a full-on adidas 3M shorts suit from Pharrell and a rare Kanye West red carpet appearance—we commend the stylish and call out the ridiculous. These are The Biggest Celebrity Style Fails and Wins of the Grammys.
RELATED: The Biggest Celebrity Fails of 2016
Fail: Chris Brown
When did "The Joker" become the look to go for on the red carpet? Mint green hair, burgundy fedora, and the button up shirt…unbuttoned way too much. Maybe this is Chris Brown animorphing into Criss Angel.
Win: Big Sean
Saint Laurent head to toe is never going to be a bad thing, especially when you roll through with the triple-black kit.
Fail: Nick Jonas
The only thing that's missing is the red bowtie in this Pee Wee Herman-meets-Versace tribute.
Win: Pharrell
No one on Earth could pull off a 3M adidas short suit on the red carpet…unless your name is Pharrell.
Fail: Ed Sheeran
Let's call this one “Ragga-Mumford & Sons.”
Win: Juicy J
Shouts to Juicy J for looking clean as hell in a simplified tux. Also shouts for maintaining all of the swag from his father.
Fail: LL Cool J
A fail almost entirely because he and Ryan Seacrest wore the exact same thing.
Win: John Mayer
When you clean up this well, then you have full license to drape yourself in nothing but Visvim.
Fail: Ne-Yo
With an unnecessary hat and a pea green suit: classic Ne-Yo, classic fail. It's like he's trying to look like a knock off Bond villain.
Win: Rick Ross
Swaggy Papa Smurf. That is all.
Fail: Frankie Grande
Hey, my guy, no matter how foolish and outlandish you try to look, you're still just Ariana Grande's brother. How are you even getting invites to these award shows anymore? Your gate-crashing skills must be unparalleled.
Win: Childish Gambino
He doesn't look so childish when he cleans up this good. Considering he's basically done things his way from the jump of his professional career, there's something surprising with his simple tuxedo and slipper choice. Simplicity is fire.
Fail: Mastodon
This is what happens when you text the squad to "really just express yourselves" an hour before rolling to the show.
Win: Usher
Usher adds some variety to an otherwise conservative gray 'fit with a rebellious collar and sparkly bow tie pin.
Win: Kanye West
Aside from completely destroying Ryan Seacrest's stupid questions, Kanye came through and did his way. He decided to rock cowboy boots instead of his insanely hyped (and recently leaked) 750 Yeezy Boosts—which he saved for his Grammy performance, replete with an awesome looking burgundy velour sweat suit, confirmed to be from his upcoming adidas collection.
