Even though celebrities are flush with influence and cash, there are only a few that consistently kill it when it comes to style. The rest of the time, they're just like us when it comes to hits and misses. But since they're constantly in the spotlight, the hits and misses are magnified instantly. Each week, we honor those who rise to the challenge of dressing well, and shade those who clearly threw up a brick.
Wins and losses are earned a few ways, and they don't apply equally to everyone on the chopping block. While some guys get killed for trying too hard, others manage to wear a busy kit while seemingly keeping balance. Others (cough—Bruce Jenner—cough) just don't seem to give a fuck about their appearance anymore, and while we can respect that confidence, it doesn't make an ugly outfit any less ugly. From too much, to zero fucks, these are The Biggest Celebrity Style Fails and Wins of the Week.
Fail: Tyson Beckford
Where: Sydney, Australia
The V game is too deep for Tyson Beckford. Add the velvet blue slippers and this outfit looks more it washed on shore instead of beach style.
Win: Aziz Ansari
Where: New York
Aziz keeps it swaggy but simple, using only the best parts of his “Parks and Recreation” persona of Tom Haverford.
Fail: Will.i.am
Where: New York
Will.i.am is so easy to make fun of because he always goes way over the top. The drop crotch is too low, the riding cap, the white creepers, the unnecessary scarf. It's not only that the pieces are put together poorly, he looks like he got dressed back when the Black Eyed Peas were on the charts.
Win: Kendrick Lamar
Where: Los Angeles
Kendrick with the NHL gear (shouts to the Bruins and the Blackhawks) and the white Reebok Classics prove that he's already on his Reebok grind (and getting that sponsorship money).
Fail: Jamie Foxx
Where: London
Jamie is just trying too hard here, one look and it shows.
Win: Nick Jonas
Where: New York
Nick Jonas has become a men's style champ effectively out of nowhere, but it's simplified looks like this that prove that the praise is well deserved. Many layers, but not overdone.
Fail: Seth Rogan
Where: Los Angeles
Yo, my guy. It looks like the drama surrounding “The Interview” really got to Seth Rogen.
Win: Chris Brown
Where: Los Angeles
Even though there's a lot happening—between the camo Bapestas, buttery brown Billionaire Boys Club varsity jacket, and the YUMS hat—but this “archival Pharrell” look seems to work for Breezy.
Fail: Bruce Jenner
Where: Los Angeles
It's very clear that Bruce Jenner has either absolutely given up, or he's just ceased giving a single fuck.
Win: Pope Francis
Where: Rome
