This University Is Actually Banning Man Buns

Brigham Young University's Idaho campus is doing its part to rid the world of the man bun trend. According to the student newspaperThe Scroll, the university has declared that top knots are no longer allowed in the classroom.

The school will take disciplinary action against those who pull their hair back because it is a violation of the Honor Code that states that men's hair should be "clean and neat, avoiding extreme styles of colors and trimmed above the collar leaving the ear uncovered."

“As part of the dress and grooming code, we commit to avoid extreme hairstyles,” said the student services and activities vice president, Kevin Miyasaki, to the paper. “A ‘man-bun’ would be considered not consistent with this standard.”

Fortunately for BYU-I students wanting to rock the style, science shows that it could be permanently harming your hairline.
