This list is a bit ironic, because while fashion editorials are meant to sell labels' latest seasons and collections, we're naming the Top 10 Hottest Fashion Photos, and many of these images show major names in the modeling world stripping down and stepping out of the clothes they're meant to sell.
Throughout the year, we've kept track of our favorite long-legged women with our regularly updated Models at Work posts, but it wouldn't be right if we let the new year introduce itself without looking back at some of the photos that conjured up a little drool and a lot of lust. The list includes veterans like Erin Wasson and Lara Stone, but we also tell you who to look out for in 2012, with newcomers like Barbara Palvin and Marloes Horst also making the list.
So, turn on Kanye's Christian Dior, and click through to check our Top 10 Fashion Photo picks from 2011. We hope 2012 is just as steamy.

Chanel
Chanel Iman: we've been watching you. And so has the rest of the world, including countless gossip columns who've linked her to Kanye West. With rumors aside, Iman knows how to dole out ample amounts of sex appeal, and this Tom Ford-styled shoot for Wonderland Magazine is no different.
Arizona Muse
Arizona Muse was another star of 2011, starring in campaigns for Chanel and walking the runway in every city during Fashion Week. While most editorials play up her tomboy side, we like this deceivingly innocent photo from her editorial in Vogue Spain, photographed by Lachlan Bailey. Rolling over and seeing this in the morning would not be a bad life.
barbara palvin
Barbara Palvin is another new addition to watch out for. She's slowly taking over, and it's easy to see why. Here, she gets dolled up in a lacy ensemble for Numéro magazine, shot by Sean and Seng. "Easy on the eyes" takes on real life meaning here. We can't look away.
miranda kerr
If all women looked like Miranda Kerr just months after giving birth, we'd probably wife those women like...today. The Australian model and new mom proved she didn't need pretty clothes to make her look good for the fourth issue of Industrie Magazine, shot by Willy Vanderperre. Just, dear God. Orlando Bloom is a lucky dude.
marloes
Take our advice: don't sleep on Marloes Horst. We predict she'll be the star of next year's Victoria's Secret show, but in the meantime, she shows us why in a series of photos for swimwear and lingerie label Princess Tam Tam. Even better: she's not just a pretty face. When she turns around, we still admire her beauty.
Lara Stone
If we have to tell you why Lara Stone is included in this list you should probably go home and hate yourself for a little while. Lara Stone gives us a few reasons to get a little lusty, and two of them are on discreet display for the October issue of GQ UK, shot by Mario Testino.
Eniko
Models and lingerie: the best and most natural combination since peanut butter and jelly. Eniko Mihalik plays a demure seductress for Chantelle Lingerie's campaign, shot by Camilla Akrans.
three
Relative newcomer Aymeline Valade striked an uncomfortable pose in the name of fashion for Numéro #125, shot by Tom Munroe.
karlie kloss
2011 was a major year for 19-year-old model Karlie Kloss: she closed the Victoria's Secret runway show, covered several high fashion magazines, starred in numerous high fashion campaigns, and (drumroll...), got naked for the first time for Vogue Italia's December issue, shot by Steven Miesel. We hope there's more where this came from.
one
Your eyes probably don't know where to look first, with supermodel powerhouses Chanel Iman, Hilary Rhoda, Jessica Stam and Erin Wasson baring some skin for the pre-spring issue of i-D magazine, shot by Kayt Jones.
