Kith is celebrating two pillars of its New York City hometown: Taxi Driver and the Tribeca Film Festival.
This year, the Martin Scorsese-helmed film turns 50, while the lauded festival turns 25. With those anniversaries, Kith has released a commemorative capsule for Summer 2026. Across apparel, accessories, and collectibles, there are six Taxi Driver-themed t-shirts, two hats, and two posters, as well as two Tribeca Festival tees, a crewneck, a canvas tote bag, and a hat.
On the 50th anniversary of Taxi Driver, at a Tribeca Festival screening, Robert De Niro made a special appearance and delivered his famous line from the film to a rapt audience.
During a panel featuring De Niro, Scorsese, Jodie Foster, Paul Schrader, and W. Kamau Bell, De Niro was asked to recite the movie’s most memorable line: “Are you talking to me?"
To the attendees’ delight, De Niro delivered the line and was met with the expected reaction.
De Niro, who played protagonist Travis Bickle in the 1976 blockbuster, also said, "I'll add one more thing. I'm the only one here. That's the point." The film festival launched on June 3 and will run until June 14.
