Watch June Ambrose Discuss Influence on Hip-Hop and Fashion in ForeverPUMA Episode

Puma has shared its latest ForeverPUMA episode, highlighting the brand’s creative director, June Ambrose.

Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the episode sees Ambrose discusses her childhood in the Bronx, her influence on hip-hop and fashion, and what she’s doing now at Puma. She also discusses and highlights Puma’s relevance over the years and the brand’s classic silhouettes.

Ambrose is a member of The Collective, a group of iconic influencers whom Puma has tapped for their impact on fashion and sneakers over the last 50 years. Other members of the cohort include Dapper Dan, Hype Williams, Walt Clyde Frazier, Emory Jones, Rhuigi Villaseñor, Mike Camargo, and Lenny Santiago.

“This year we will be highlighting PUMA’s legacy as a classic sneaker brand by asking a select group of iconic cultural leaders the essential question: What is a Classic?” Adam Petrick, Chief Brand Officer at PUMA said in a press release.

Dapper Dan’s video meanwhile, came out in September. He spoke about the campaign in an interview with Complex, saying, “It’s perfect for me to come along at this time to be able to align myself with such a powerful brand that also represents us. This is the biggest thing for me since I started making clothes for hip-hop. We are at the crux of a new era: athleisure. When I started out making clothes, I was at the crux of a new musical genre. So this falls right in line with what I represent and what my story is about. So I’m loving it.”
