Since 2010, American photographer Alexander Harding has been working on a photograph series titled "Visible Light" that explores light as its focus subject. As photography is the manipulation of light, this project makes perfect sense to use light as the primary subject. In this particular photo series, where the light beams are so thick that it looks like you could physically touch them, Harding captures light in an almost tangible form that reveals very dense rays of sunshine as they bounce off mirrors and aluminum and pass through windows and glass objects.
The Massachusetts College of Art and Design graduate mentions that much of the inspiration for this ongoing series comes from the artist James Turrell, who’s known for his large light installations. To follow Harding on this and more photo series, check out the artist's website, here.
