This seven-floor Manhattan residence is the most expensive townhouse in the world. In 1916, Frank Woolworth built the home for his daughter. It boasts three kitchens, an elevator, a gym, a 50-person dining room, and a rich history as a New York landmark.
Cohen Penthouse

Price: $98 million
Steve Cohen's luxury penthouse tops the Bloomberg Tower on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was created to be "the most sophisticated, stunning apartment in NYC." The penthouse has been on the market since April of 2013 and hasn't found a buyer, much to Cohen's ire. Interested?

Also known as Spelling Manor, the French chateau-style mansion was built in 1988 for television producer Aaron Spelling. It is the largest residential home in Los Angeles County, includes an entire floor of closets, and is located down the street from the Playboy Mansion.

This 10-bedroom, five-story home includes a sauna, health center, and an underground pool. It used to be a girls' prep school until 2006 when Elena Franchuk purchased the property and remodeled it into a villa.
The Rennert Mansion

Located in the Hamptons, Ira Rennert's estate is so expansive that he had to include an on-site power plant. The property comprises 63 acres of lawns, three swimming pools, sports courts, 21 bedrooms, and 18 bathrooms. Rennert also keeps his $500 million art collection there.

You may recognize the name "Park Place" from the popular board game Monopoly, though in real life it is worth a little more than $350. An anonymous buyer, rumored to be a Russian oligarch, purchased Park Place in 2011. Comprised of 200 acres, the estate includes an 18th century "Grecian Grotto," stables, a boathouse, and the ghost of a woman who poisoned her father.

Price: $242 million
Wing Tai Holdings Ltd., a Southeast Asian property development firm, put this downtown Singapore property on the market in August for a record-breaking price. The 85,000 square foot property includes a swimming pool and tennis court and is located near the Botanic Gardens.
One Hyde Park Penthouse Apartment

Price: $255 million
At the beginning of May, the sale of a penthouse suite in the luxury apartment complex at One Hyde Park broke London's real estate record. The buyer, who remains unnamed, purchased the home unfurnished. Once furnished and decorated, the apartment, which overlooks Hyde Park, will be worth even more.
The White House

Price: $326 million
Zillow estimated the White House to be worth slightly more than $326 million, though it might sell for much more, taking into account its presidential legacy. Every American president since John Adams has lived in the building that is split into three sections: The Residence, The West Wing (presidential offices), and The East Wing (the First Lady's offices). The legendary home includes amenities such as a bowling alley, an underground bunker, and dentist's office.

Following the death of crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Sultan bin Abdulaziz, in 2012, his Hyde Park mansion went on the market for more than double the price of any home previously sold in the UK. The home has 45 bedrooms and seven stories.
Villa Leopolda

Named after Belgian King Leopold II, the expansive Villa Leopolda is both the largest and the most expensive French villa in the world. Overlooking the Mediterranean, it was both a military hospital during WWI and a set for Alfred Hitchcock's 1955 film, To Catch a Thief. In 2011, it was purchased by an anonymous Russian oligarch, sparking intrigue.
Antilia

Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India, built the 27-story tall Antilia for him, his wife, and their two children. The lavish skyscraper includes every amenity imaginable, from helicopter landing pads, to a theatre, to a spa, and is decorated with lotus and sun motifs throughout. The family has received criticism for the gaudy display of wealth that contrasts starkly with surrounding poverty.
