Since its founding, basketball has been a huge part of Parisian brand Pigalle's identity. The brand's founder Stéphane Ashpool created a youth team to keep the kids in his neighborhood, from which Pigalle takes its name, out of trouble, and have released hoops-inspired collections in the past. Now, Pigalle and III-Studio, which also created the Parisian brand's logo, have teamed up to create a hoops oasis in between two apartment buildings, according to Dezeen.

The court is the same one that Pigalle built with the help of Nike and LeBron James, but it has been given a vibrant color-blocked update. The new design celebrates Pigalle's colorful Spring/Summer 2016 collection and takes inspiration from the painting Sportsmen, an artwork created in the 1930s by Russian painter Kasimir Malevich. "We were attracted to the subjects of the painting, but also the strong colors and graphic composition that matched the direction we had in mind," the studio told Dezeen.

The basketball court is situated in Paris' ninth arrondissement near Pigalle's storefront.
