These special edition Taka Hayashi Vans remind me of all the kids that take sharpies to their canvas sneakers to make them their own one of one original creations. Though I'm not sure how I feel about those kids, to be honest. A lot of them write really dumb shit all over their gear and end up taking a clean canvas sneaker and turning it into an embarrassing piece of garbage. But maybe that's just because I could never think of anything clever actually write on my sneakers because I was never ride or die for any particular movement. I feel like if you write something on your shoes, you better be ready to rep your set in case anyone calls you out for it. Like, "Oh, you drew Daniel Johnston's alien on your shoe? I hate his music." Anyway, these Sk8-Hi's and Authentics are only available in person, at actual Vans stores and premium retailers, so hop off your internet machine and buy something in person for once in your life.
