Due to historical prejudice, the fashion industry hasn’t always given Black designers and creators the access, platforms, or recognition they deserve. But Macy’s is committed to addressing those problems. With its Icons of Style program, the national retailer has worked to fund and stock more Black designers since 2021.
For Icons of Style 2022, Macy’s tapped GooGoo Atkins, Areeayl Yoseefaw Goodwin, Ade Samuel, JÉRÔME LAMAAR, Mathew Harris of MATEO, and Stella & Blaise to design collaborative capsule collections for its INC, Bar III, And Now This, and Epic Threads lines.
This spring, we gave you a look at some of those collections, but now the Icons of Style are back for summer, with JÉRÔME LAMAAR, MATEO, and Stella&Blaise dropping warm-weather collections with a little something for everyone, from gender-neutral items to menswear to kid’s clothes and women’s handbags and shoes. Take a look, then hit Macys.com to shop.
