Allen Iverson Brings the ’90s Full Circle More Than 30 Years After His Iconic Guess Shoot

Decades after his iconic Guess moment, Allen Iverson brings the ’90s full circle with a new collaboration that pays homage to his original shoot.

In 1993, Allen Iverson drove just about every ’90s girlie wild with his Sports Illustrated photoshoot, where an 18-year-old Iverson rocked a Guess T-shirt like it was made just for him.

Three decades later, that exact moment is coming back to life. According to WWD, Iverson has teamed up with Guess Jeans for a limited-edition capsule collection that revives the same blend of streetwear attitude and sports culture that defined an era.

The new Allen Iverson x Guess Jeans collection features five exclusive T-shirts that pay homage to that iconic shoot. Each shirt reimagines the youthful confidence of a kid from Hampton, Virginia, who would go on to change basketball—and fashion—forever.

It’s a nod to the days when Guess logos were bold, denim was baggy, and players were redefining what it meant to have style off the court.

“Everybody wanted to wear Guess,” Iverson said in a statement to the outlet. “In high school, it was the flyest thing out — but back then, I couldn’t afford it. My dad gave me a pair once for doing something good — maybe for my grades or something like that. I’ve always had love for Guess because it was the style back then, and it just had a different swag when I had it on.”

He added that making it to the NBA meant finally being able to buy what he once dreamed about. “When I made it to the league, I could finally buy all the Guess I wanted. That was my style.”

Throughout his 14-season NBA career, Iverson became known for more than just his signature crossover moves.

He brought authenticity and rebellion into the spotlight, whether it was his cornrows, his tattoos, or his unapologetic approach to fashion. That same energy is what drew Guess to this collaboration.

“Allen represents a generation that changed how we see sport, fashion, and identity,” said Nicolai Marciano, chief new business development officer at Guess Jeans. “His energy, resilience, and authenticity embody what Guess stands for today — a fearless approach to personal style rooted in cultural impact.”

The Allen Iverson x Guess Jeans capsule collection dropped this week at select Guess stores, guess.com, and Amazon — each piece priced at $44, a nod to Iverson’s number and the decade that defined him.
