Virgil Abloh’s final Louis Vuitton Men’s collection, which arrived days after his death, will get a temporary residency in New York City later this month.

The luxury fashion brand has just revealed its plans for the temporary residency, which will be held at 104 Prince Street in SoHo. Dedicated to the fashion innovator, who frequently collaborated with Kanye West, among others, the entire location has been revamped to proudly display some of Abloh’s work and his most common motifs. The residency will be accompanied by a 10-story mural of Abloh near the Maison’s 5th Avenue LV store.

His last collection for the company, men’s spring/summer 2022, will also be on display. The collection promises “Millionaires sunglasses, soft trunks, and highly-collectible LV Trainers will be available, alongside the designer’s distinctive interpretations of classic Louis Vuitton leather goods like Keepalls and Sac Plats."

Abloh died following a years-long battle with cancer in November, 2021. Beloved within the worlds of fashion, design, and music, there was an outpouring of love and grief when it was announced he had passed away. Frank Ocean, Kanye West, and Drake were just a few of the names to pay their respects to Abloh.

Louis Vuitton recently shared a lookbook of images for the pre-fall men’s collection last month. It was completed and photographed before his death, and comprises of forward-thinking pieces and some more traditional fare.
