Bad Bunny Imagines Himself Decades Older With 2026 Met Gala Transformation

Through the use of prosthetics, the 32-year-old star imagined himself as an old man.

Bad Bunny fully leaned into the ‘Costume Art’ theme at the 2026 Met Gala and imagined himself decades older through the use of prosthetics and a silver fox look.

Inspired by “The Aging Body,” one of the forms explored in the Costume Institute exhibition, the 32-year-old Puerto Rican megastar appeared almost unrecognizable in his striking look. The prosthetics for the look were created by Mike Marino, who also worked with Heidi Klum for her Veiled Vestal Statue look at the Met Gala. Marino also previously worked with The Weeknd for his album Dawn FM, creating the makeup that the Canadian singer-songwriter was wearing in the album art for the record.

In behind-the-scenes pictures showing the work that went into Benito’s makeup, which can be seen below, it’s clear just how much work went into his striking look.

Bad Bunny’s look is intended to show what he would look like 50 years from now, and he complemented the outfit with a walking cane to fully sell the getup. The suit he wore also pays homage to the Charles James 1947 “Bustle,” which is a piece housed in the Costume Institute’s permanent collection. It was undoubtedly one of the standout looks of the 2026 Met Gala, which also included plenty of other outfits taking full advantage of the ‘Costume Art’ theme.

In an interview with Vogue last year, Beinto said that he’s always inspired by the style of his fans, both young and old. “Seeing all the diversity at my shows, from young to old, all the creativity… Some people dressed up as jíbaros: Everyone interpreted Debi Tirar Más Fotos, and what it means to be Puerto Rican, in their own way,” he said. “It was one of the things that impressed me the most and that I enjoyed the most.”
