In case you missed the news, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) will host a retrospective exhibition beginning March 7 for Icelandic composer, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Björk. The exhibition will be the musician's first, and has been organized by MoMA PS1 director Klaus Biesenbach. This week, MoMA released a new trailer for what Creator's Project calls a "immersive 10-minute music and film experience."
The 86-second clip introduces a video and sound installation by the artist that MoMA commissioned titled Black Lake, and it includes a track by the same name from Björk's new album, Vulnicura. In the trailer, she sings while lying in what appears to be a crevice or tree knot. The camera scans her body to reveal a break in her torso, and a glowing blue stream flows from her chest and out her vagina.
