Willy Chavarria launches his first luxury underwear line, Dirty Willy Underwear.
According to a press release, Dirty Willy Underwear was made in Peru from fine Pima cotton and finished by hand in New York to achieve a distressed, realistic worn effect, as if they had experienced sweat, urine, and other abrasions. The pieces were inspired by “the erotic notions of queer fetish culture.”
Packaged in military-style “rations” metallic envelopes, the collection includes a “destroyed brief” and boxer briefs that retail for $300 and $350 respectively.
"The underwear experience is our most intimate moment when dressing and undressing. We want to feel sexy for ourselves and others. WILLYunderwear is boldly sensual. And this is just the beginning.” said Chavarria, 57, in a press statement.
The brand was featured on Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” music video when the rapper was seen wearing a white Chavarria track jacket.
The Dirty Willy Underwear line is available on Chavarria’s official shop and will be sold at high-end fashion retailers, sex shops, and pop-up events at a later date.
