For the third consecutive season, we are pondering the next destination of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Despite the complicated relationship between Rodgers and Green Bay, they’ve found temporary resolutions to keep him as Packer for another season. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results and for the Packers, they’ve strung together consecutive seasons of disappointment. It seems as if this longtime partnership has run its course as the Packers missed the postseason on the final day of the regular season but then again, you can’t predict anything with A-Rod.

Rodgers has reportedly entered his ‘darkness retreat’ to make the decision on the next step of his career. There are several teams that have already shown interest in the future Hall of Famer and some that might just be a perfect fit. Whether it’s taking his talents to the Big Apple to play for the New York Jets or heading back out west to reunite with his former co-star Davante Adams in Las Vegas, there are better situations to help Rodgers finally get back to playing football in February.

Here are five teams that could make a deal for Aaron Rodgers.

New York Jets

There’s been a lot of whispers that Aaron Rodgers could be headed to New York after they recently hired Nathaniel Hackett to be their offensive coordinator. Hackett was the Packers offensive coordinator from 2019-2021. The Jets actually may be the best fit for Rodgers. They’re a team that was a good quarterback away from making the playoffs last season. Their defense is loaded with young talent anchored by All-Pro selectees Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner while their offense has potential with a healthy offensive line returning and young weapons like Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson. If it weren’t for Zach Wilson’s woes, the Jets might’ve been the talk of New York in the postseason and not the Giants.

Las Vegas Raiders

When Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers declared that the 2021 season was their last dance, that might’ve been specific to Green Bay.

The Raiders have already agreed to move on from Derek Carr and while their dream of signing Tom Brady has vanished, Rodgers is a terrific backup plan. The AFC West has its competition especially with the Super Bowl Champs but when you pair Aaron Rodgers with an All-Pro receiver and an All-Pro running back in Josh Jacobs, you have a scary trio to power your offense. Davante Adams has publicly campaigned to be reunited with his former quarterback.

New England Patriots `

Bill Belichick won’t sit around and settle for being mediocre this long, right? Even despite having a better record than the Jets last season, the Patriots may be the team with the lowest ceiling in their division. With the consistency of the Bills, the rise of the Miami Dolphins to go along with the nucleus of young talent the Jets have compiled, the Pats are no longer a threat. While Rodgers may not put this team at the top of AFC East off the bat, he’ll certainly put them in serious playoff contention. When you have an all-time great No. 12 and Bill Belichick on your team, things usually work out in the postseason.

Miami Dolphins

The third AFC East team on this list is possibly the most entertaining destination for Aaron Rodgers. Can you imagine Aaron Rodgers with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle? Rodgers has had some great weapons but this could be the best receiving tandem of his career. With Tua’s durability concerns after suffering multiple concussions, this could help the Dolphins take that next step. Unfortunately, it’s might unrealistic as they’re in cap hell right now but if they can somehow maneuver money around to make it work, the Dolphins will be must-see TV.

Seattle Seahawks

The Packers have reportedly made it clear that they don’t want to trade within the NFC and while that may be true, the Seahawks have the ability to make them reconsider that sentiment. The Seahawks have two first round and second picks this year including a top 5 pick from the Denver Broncos thanks to the Russell Wilson trade. The Seahawks made the playoffs this season led by the Comeback Player of the Year Geno Smith but if you have a chance to upgrade with Rodgers, you do it every time.
