Kevin Durant didn't mince his words when confronting critics of Team USA's close win over Serbia at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Following their win, in which Team USA had to overcome a 17 point deficit to beat NBA champion Nikola Jokic and his country's squad to advance to the gold medal game, the Slim Reaper took his talents to X to play defense against people coming for him and his team.

Instead of getting some well earned sleep after their grueling match, KD picked a Denver Nuggets fan to unleash his fury on.

"To all you nuggets fans, nobody gives a f**k who yall lames believe is the best player in the league, players got major respect for Jok, we don’t worship him like yall do but most are in awe of his brilliance," wrote Durant. "Trolling you cornballs for rooting against us is apart of the game. Deal wit it.”

KD wasn't done. After the previous exchange set off another Nuggets fan who claimed that Team USA was being disrespectful, Durant decided to let loose on what he thinks about fan culture across all sports.

"Lets talk about the fan culture that’s been created recently," he wrote. "A lot of huge egos who believe they are the reason for the advancement of a sport. A LOT of idol worship, a lot of hate and division based off wins and losses, a lot of disrespect of the work being put in by these incredible athletes, mostly by people who don’t know what it takes to be good at anything besides talking…go do something and get out the way."

As if to puff his chest and flex his muscle, KD responded to another fan who suggested that the culture he's talking about was around way before he hopped on the hardwood.

"That’s what yall do, yall clowns," he wrote. "Use players to push these corny agendas yall got. This a brotherhood fam, u not apart of. It’s a problem now cuz social media got u clowns walkin around wit your chest out like u mean something. YOU DONT!!! YOUR TAKES DONT MATTER.”

KD's earned the right to talk like that based on how he's been playing. He became the all-time leading scorer in the Olympics for Team USA basketball following their game against Brazil earlier this week, a record previously held by Lisa Leslie, who tallied 488 points and four gold medals in her Olympic career.

Following Team USA's win against Serbia, KD spoke to reporters about what this country is like. "I lot of bullshit happens in our country," he said after the game. "But a lot of great things happen, too."
