Pro skier Gus Kenworthy has let the world know what he thinks about Immigration and Customs Enforcement with a crystal clear Instagram Post.
Ahead of competing for Team GB at the 2026 Winter Olympics, which kicked off on Feb. 6, Kenworthy posted a picture of the words “FUCK ICE” made in snow. How the words were made, though, wasn’t with hands. His ink of choice? Bright yellow urine. It couldn’t be any more apparent what he thinks.
In the accompanying caption, Kenworthy posted a lengthy message with a call to action for people who are similarly angered by ICE’s actions and want to make a change.
"You can call your Senator at (202) 224-3121 to speak up against ICE and put pressure on them during the current DHS funding negotiations," began Kenworthy’s caption. He continued on with a sample script that anyone viewing could use when calling.
"Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State]. I’m calling to urge Senator [Name] to refuse to support any final Department of Homeland Security funding agreement that fails to meaningfully rein in ICE and Border Patrol,” reads Kenworthy’s script. "Innocent people have been murdered, and enough is enough. We can’t wait around while ICE continues to operate with unchecked power in our communities.”
Kenworthy’s anti-ICE statement arrived days after Team USA changed its name to “The Winter House” from “The Ice House.” In a joint statement from the U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and US Speedskating groups, the name change was revealed to have been in service of not being connected to ICE.
"Our hospitality concept was designed to be a private space free of distractions where athletes, their families, and friends can come together to celebrate the unique experience of the Winter Games," said the groups in the statement. "This name captures that vision and connects to the season and the event."
