Have you ever wondered who Barack Obama would have as his starting five players on his own basketball team? If so, you’re in luck — the former President revealed his pick of all-time NBA players he'd pick to start for him.

Obama broke down his selection by position, starting with shooting guard. “I’m from Chicago. So MJ, Michael Jordan, at shooting guard.” Next up, the 63-year-old moved to where he’d place LeBron James on the court. “I’d put LeBron at point forward,” he explained. “A bunch of times he’d be bringing up the ball and he’d distributing."

Next up on Obama’s list is Mr. Splash himself. “I want a little shooting and a little flair so I’m going to put my friend Steph Curry into the mix because we’re in the three point era and he is the greatest shooter of all time, bar none,” added Obama. Then came his pick for center: "At center, I’m going to put Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon whose game I think translates to today's game.”

“He was such an amazing athlete,” Obama continued. “An anchor on defense. He’s going to give you everything you need out of the center position.”

After naming four spots on his team, Obama had to decide on his final pick. “This last spot is tough,” he began. “I’ve got to go with Kevin Durant, KD, who may be the most efficient effective scorer in the history of basketball.”

Obama then expressed confidence in his team: “I’m feeling good about that five beating just about anybody,” he said happily.

Netflix’s Starting 5 premiered earlier this month. In it, Anthony Edwards had some choice words for Jayson Tatum in a regular-season matchup that the series highlights. After a Timberwolves match against the Celtics, where Edwards scored 38 points, leading to a Wolves victory of 114-109, Minnesota’s star player got in some trash talk in the locker room about Tatum being perceived as the “best player in the league.”

"You seen Tatum trying to get me on the switch, locked his ass up two times," said Edwards in the locker room. "Tatum was talking crazy saying, 'Yeah, I'm here,' then I said, 'I'm coming again.' Talking bout 'best player in the league,' y'all trippin'."
