Vince McMahon Seen in Newly Released Police Footage Crashing Bentley at Over 100 MPH

The crash occurred in Connecticut in July of last year.

Vince McMahon is seen crashing his Bentley while driving over 100 miles per hour in previously unreleased footage.

The footage in question comes from the dashboard camera of a state trooper in the Westport area of Connecticut, where McMahon, 80, was involved in a high-speed car accident in July of last year. In the footage, obtained and shared by the Associated Press on Wednesday (Feb. 25), McMahon’s vehicle, identified as a 2024 Bentley Continental GT, is shown slamming into the back of another car before hitting a guardrail.

Another clip, taken from a body camera, shows McMahon interacting with the trooper, who questioned him over his speed behind the wheel. McMahon, meanwhile, pointed out that it was his “granddaughter’s birthday.”

When the trooper noted that he had been “trying to catch up” with McMahon in traffic, the WWE star acknowledged that he “saw lights” but added that he thought they “looked normal.” He also said he wasn’t attempting to “outrun” the trooper.

“That’s why I was very confused, because it wasn’t like you were running,” the trooper responded. “You almost hit, I think, 115 miles an hour, and then you just hit someone because you weren’t paying attention.”

Asked if he was distracted by his phone during the accident, McMahon said he was not, later clarifying that he hadn’t driven the Bentley “in quite some time.” From there, the trooper highlighted the speed of the vehicle, which McMahon declared “too fucking fast.”

Complex has reached out to Connecticut State Police reps for comment. This story may be updated.

Initially, McMahon was facing charges of reckless driving and following too closely in connection with the July 2025 accident. By October, however, he had scored a legal victory in the case, which—if certain criteria is met, including the completion of a probation program—will ultimately see the charges formally dismissed.

“Vince’s primary concern during this case was for the other drivers and is appreciative that the court saw this as more of an accident than a crime that needed to be prosecuted,” Mark Sherman, McMahon’s Connecticut criminal defense attorney, told Complex when reached for comment.

Sherman added that the case is currently scheduled to be dismissed on Oct. 15.
