Cameron Smotherman collapsed to the floor after his UFC 324 weigh-in on Friday (Jan. 23).
Footage of the moment, seen below, shows the fighter, nicknamed “The Baby-Faced Killer,” taking a few steps before falling face-forward onto the stage. A commotion follows, with officials quickly approach Smotherman to turn him over while calling for a doctor.
Smotherman’s weigh-in on Friday was 135.5 pounds. Per a report from ESPN, his previously scheduled fight against Ricky Turcios in Las Vegas on Saturday has been called off.
In another video, Smotherman, described as being “responsive” after the incident, was seen being carried off the stage. His current condition is unknown, but reports indicate he was taken to a nearby hospital after the incident.
During Friday’s weigh-in broadcast, commentators could be heard shouting “Oh shit!” and “Oh my God!” as they observed Smotherman’s collapse.
“That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that,” one commentator added, while another expressed “I hope he’s okay.”
