There are many different types of sports fans. There are casual fans, which happen to be the category most celebrities’ fall under. There are die-hard fans like your roommate who likes the Cleveland Browns a little too much. There's the bandwagon fans. Some notable examples of celeb bandwagon fans are LeBron James and Lil Wayne. And finally, there's the fans that root for a team outside of their hometown. Like 2 Chainz, for example, who's a fan of the San Francisco 49ers. Check out Celebrity Sports Fans That Root For Teams Outside of Their Home City.

Samuel L. Jackson

Team: Toronto Raptors
Roots: Chattanooga, TN

Believe it or not Samuel L. Jackson's fanhood happens to be with the Toronto Raptors. No telling when he first became a Toronto fan, but he's seen at Raptor games often and confirmed his love for the team with ESPN. He famously carries around a Raptor bag in his 1997 film, Jackie Brown, but who knew?

Ashton Kutcher

Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Roots: Cedar Rapids, IA

A Midwesterner at heart, Kutcher never lost his love for the Chicago Bears. But he couldn't resist being seen courtside at the Laker games and is a fan of the Purple and Gold.

Darius Rucker

Team: Miami Dolphins
Roots: Charleston, SC

As lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish, Rucker killed it in the '90s while making it no mystery where his football loyalty lied. A big Miami Dolphin fan, he mentions them in his lyrics from time to time and supposedly has their logo tatted somewhere on his person. Rucker has made a nice comeback in his own career and would love to see the Fins do the same.

Snoop Dogg

Team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Roots: Long Beach, CA

Snoop reps L.A. hard, but he loves him some Steelers. He more than likely jumped on the bandwagon when they referred to themselves as "The Steel Curtain," or maybe he just liked the uniforms. Either way he remains true to his childhood team. He gets props for that.

Billy Crystal

Team: Los Angeles Clippers
Roots: New York

For a real sports fan and someone who likes to sell himself as a real New Yorker, Billy Crystal had no problem hanging on to his love of the Yankees. But when it came to basketball he decided to go with the Clippers over the Knicks and—every actor's fave—the Lakers.

Dick Vitale

Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Roots: Passaic, NJ

Like many of New Jersey's elderly, this exceedingly rambunctious 73-year-old now lives in Florida and is a Tampa Bay Buccaneers season ticket holder. We're not even gonna mention his unadulterated slurpage of the Duke Blue Devils. Oh, wait, we just did.

Justin Bieber

Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Roots: Stratford, Ontario, Canada

Kobe's his favorite player and he lives out in L.A. Plus, the Raptors have sucked for most of his lifetime. The Biebs does as he pleases.

Denis Leary

Team: Green Bay Packers
Roots: Worcester, MA

For being an ultimate Boston guy, this may be the most shocking one on the list. Leary's true love is the Red Sox and he is also a big Celtics and Bruins fan, but the Packers? Leary must hate the rest of New England because he seems to stay away from Foxborough and the Pats.

Christopher Walken

Team: Chicago Cubs
Roots: Astoria, Queens, NY

Christopher Walken is undoubtedly the man and the King of New York, but somewhere along the way he traded the pain of being a Met fan in favor of the pain of Cub fandom.

Justin Timberlake

Team: Green Bay Packers
Roots: Memphis, TN

Surprisingly, JT is a Cheesehead. There he is in the second photo tailgating at Lambeau Field shotgunning a beer. He was also a Lakers fan until he bought a piece of the Grizzlies in 2012. When asked why he was a Packers fan, Timberlake said: "I have friends that are Packer fans that would decapitate me if I did not root for the Packers."

David Hasselhoff

Team: Dallas Mavericks
Roots: Baltimore, MD

Apparently the Hoff loves basketball, and his team of choice happens to be the Mavericks. Does he just love Dirk's hair or maybe it's because of the German connection? Either way, Hasselhoff has become the easy target for hecklers on the road.

LeBron James

Team: New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys
Roots: Akron, OH

LeBron has no shame. He once sat at a Cleveland Indian playoff game against the Yankees as a member of the Cavs, and taunted fans with his Yankee hat. He's just like every other bandwagon fan that grew up in the '90s: a fan of the Cowboys, the Yankees, and the Bulls.

Jack Nicholson

Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Roots: Neptune City, NJ

Jack is a Jersey boy but his true love is the Lakers. He's been in movies since forever and we can't blame him. Jack is just as much a part of that organization as Jerry Buss. But we can't get over the fact that he's still a Yankee fan. Blame the Knicks and their sad excuse for a front office. They coulda had Nicholson and Spike.

2 Chainz

Team: San Francisco 49ers
Roots: College Park, GA

This came out of nowhere. After the 49ers won the 2012 NFC Championship game, 2 Chainz made a cameo during the on-the-field celebration decked out in red and gold. Like many young fans that grew up in the '80s, 2 Chainz hopped on the 49er bandwagon, and never hopped off. You see what loyalty gets you, folks?

Lil Wayne

Team: Green Bay Packers and/or whoever's winning
Roots: New Orleans

It's very hard to keep up with Weezy's NBA team, one minute he loves the Hornets the next he loves the Heat. And now he hates the Heat and the NBA, but we're not buying it. When it comes to the NFL he's a Packer fan, but that could change at the drop of a hat as well. There's a lot of grey area in his fandom, especially for someone who reps his city so hard.
