Getting your chain snatched on live television is pretty embarrassing—and it’s probably more embarrassing the second time around. Just ask Michael Crabtree, who got his gold chain housed during a game for the second week in a row.

This week, it seems that it was more of an accident than anything else. Crabtree was tackled after a 19-yard reception, and after a huge gain it just kind of popped off. His teammate Seth Roberts is due some major props for being an awesome teammate and stepping in to claim his jewelry off the turf before any of the Texans could swipe it.

The Oakland wide receiver had an incident on the field last week with Aqib Talib, who just kind of snapped.

Talib did warn Crabtree before the game between the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders that he was going to snatch it if he wore it out on the field. Oakland’s receiver didn’t shy from the challenge and now has to live with that Vine infamy forever.

Who knew that a gold chain could cause such an uproar? The effort to floss a little extra on the gridiron led to a momentous L. So, after all of this craziness, there is no way that he could wear it on the field next season, right?
