Car enthusiasts tend to spend a lot of time talking about what a car can do, and understandably so. Once we've finished discussing a car's performance, we usually move on to exterior design. How does the car look on the road? Once we've finished with those two avenues of conversation, we finally move on to the interior.
This is a flaw in our zeitgeist, as the interior of the car is where one actually experiences it. Bad seats and poor ergonomics can ruin an otherwise great car, and as we saw with the Dodge Dart, a great interior can cause us to love a car despite its flaws. So we've decided the celebrate the most comfortable, best designed, and most innovative interiors on the market right now, in The 15 Coolest Factory Interiors Right Now.

Citroen DS5
The DS5's interior is open, airy, comfortable, and like the whole DS line, very imaginative. It's filled with interesting textures and shapes and makes us wish for French cars in the USA.
Cadillac XTS
Cadillac's transformation into a true threat to ze Germans started with the CTS, but it's the XTS luxobarge that has really pulled out all the stops on the interior design front. Like all recent Caddies, it captures the essence of American luxury without being at all retro.
Tesla Model S
While we might prefer buttons and knobs to touchscreens in cars, due to there being easier to operate without having to look at them, we can't deny the beauty of the interior of the Model S. It's clean modern, and incredibly practical. Plus, we love that you can spec it with two rear facing jumper seats, for a grand total of seven seats.
Rolls-Royce Wraith
If you don't want to spec a wraith out in black leather with red stitching and a grey ash veneer in the doors, you clearly haven't looked at the car enough. We just love those massive wood door panels. We can't wait until this thing hits the road later this year.
Morgan Aero Supersports
Everything about the Aero Supersports is simple, classic, and hand-made by a guy who has been making Morgans with hand tools for decades. Now that even Bentley has ditched old fashioned craftsmanship, Morgan is the last bastion of handmade brilliance.

C7 Chevrolet Corvette
Yeah, we know, it's not quite on the market yet, but the fact that GM took such a huge step up in interior quality with the C7 makes us simply love this car. The Corvette's interior is no longer a place that people are willing to tolerate in order to have a go at the engine, now it's simply a work of art.
Audi A8L
Audi has been at the top of the interior design game for years now, and the long wheelbase version of the flagship A8 sedan is the pinacle of Audi's comfort and design. It takes everything that makes Bentleys and Rolls-Royces cool and modernizes it in a way that makes those two pseudo-British brands look horribly old-fashioned and overwrought.
Dodge Dart Limited
No, it's not all cars that cost more than the nicest house you'll ever afford on this list, we've got some rides for the proletariat too. The Dodge Dart Limited's leather seats are some of the most comfortable we've ever sat in. From personal experience, they're honestly about as comfy as the back of a Maybach.
It's not just the seats, though, the whole interior is thoughtfully designed and feels like one from a much more expensive car.
Pagani Huayra
Even though what's under the skin of the Huayra might be top-level technology, the interior has more of a steampunk flavor to it. Hours and hours go into making each and every component, and that quality shows.
2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
You can't go out and buy one of these yet, but you will be able to soon. The next generation S-Class is not only going to have what look like the world's best seats, perforated and quilted leather, and flowing panels of beautiful wood, but it will also have a hot stone massage feature and an aromatherapy unit installed in the dash. This will make everyone else's luxury look pedestrian.
Koenigsegg Agera R
The Agera R looks like Modern Home Magazine designed a car interior, and it's perfect. The 'Egg's inside is focused, clean, and airy. We love it, and we love that the quilting on the leather isn't in a more predictable diamond pattern.
Aston Martin Vanquish
Aston Martin has taken the classic leather and wood treatment of British luxury and made it look much more sleek, and a lot less stodgy. Rather than seeming like the driver should be called the Duke of Haggis (or something similar), the Vanquish is rakish in ever sense of the word. Brilliant.
Audi A7
That yacht-inspired wood is nothing short of glorious. We see so much of the same burl walnut veneer that, despite the inherent quality of wood, it just starts looking boring after a while. This teak decking-style wood elevates a nice interior to a brilliant one.
Spyker C8 Aileron
Spyker's cars are all inspired by second-generation aircraft, and although this does show on the exterior in the form of the signature circular air intakes, it's the interiors of the cars where it really shines. The quilted leather is beautiful, the turned aluminum is absolutely striking, plastic cannot be found anywhere, and the shifter is a striking work of art.
