This is the new baby Jeep, the Jeep Renegade. The rumormil has been saying that this is based on the Fiat 500L, but it honestly looks more like the Panda to our eyes. That might, however, just be wishful thinking, as we'd love to get our hands on the Panda (that sounds dirty).
Regarding the styling, we're going to go on the record saying that we like it. It's like a toy version of a military vehicle, and let's face it: that's the whole raison d'etre of the Jeep brand. It's inherent funkiness will certainly turn off some buyers and critics though.
