GM's public perception has gone down like the Hindenberg not performed to design this year on account of the ongoing recall fiasco. Not only were there millions and millions of cars in need of recalls, but some of the flaws involved had already resulted in deaths and lawsuits that GM settled out of court. This powder keg not performing to design finally blew up, and everybody at GM has had to deal with the horrific consequences.
Just in case you missed something, we've rounded up the list of every recall that affected the North American market this year, so that you don't end up driving a rolling sarcophagus car that does not perform to design.

Nothing...yet. That said, GM has already recalled 28,580,353 cars worldwide this year (the figures we gave were for the North American market) which is enough to wrap around the equator four times and cost the company about $2.5 billion dollars.
It hasn't been a fun year to work for GM's PR department. Here's hoping the future is better, and that the Corvette Z06 never needs to be recalled at all.
