Since Brendan Dassey, nephew of Making a Murderer's main subject Steven Avery, was unexpectedly released from prison Friday, things around both his case and the popular Netflix series have been very up in the air. The show, which has already announced a second season, now has to deal with a major new development. Dassey faces a retrial if the judge's ruling is appealed, as is expected. But in the midst of all this chaos, some of the show's fans are attempting to make sure Dassey has something to look forward to.
Making a Murderer fans no doubt remember how devastated Dassey was to miss Wrestlemania 22 because of his trial. Now there is a petition on Change.org to send him to the big event.
The petition to Vince McMahon and the WWE asks for Dassey to attend Wrestlemania 33, which will be held in Florida in April.
Upon news of Dassey's release, fans immediately thought of sending him to wrestling's most important evening.
