Tradition? You want tradition? How about seven national titles, five Heisman Trophy winners, and 152 All Americans. Of course tradition doesn't win you ballgames in the here and now—which is just fine since the Oklahoma Sooners have Heisman candidate Landry Jones and the rest of the current team to do that for them. As the most successful college football program of all time preps for its annual rivalry game with Texas this afternoon, we look back at 100 years of Sooner football for the 10 Best Plays in Oklahoma history...

10. The Red River Runner
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns
Date: 10/12/1996
OU was a 22 point underdog and 0-4 coming into this game. One problem, it was a rivalry game and all the records and stats go out the window. The normally shifty James Allen stuck his head and scored north and south the old fashioned way as the Sooners went on to win the Red River Rivalry 30 - 27.
9. Leap of Faith
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Oklahoma State Cowbooys
Date: 11/29/2008
You want it? Heisman Trophy and NCAA championship hopes on the line? Go get it young fella, go get it! Sam Bradford leaps tall Cowboys in hopes of a touchdown. Thankfully, no one was injured and the Sooners won 61 - 41.
8. For the Hill of It
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Pittsburgh Panthers
Date: 9/20/1975
You don't tackle Tony Dorsett, you leap buildings known as offensive linemans and tattoo your helment on his chest. That was the last time Tony was seen in Norman as the Sooners won, 46-10, and eventually won the national title.
7. False Fiesta
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Boise State Broncos
Date: 1/1/2007
The Sooners erased an 18-point deficit and took the lead after this interception. Babies were named Marcus, Republicans and Democrats in OKC got along. One Crip was reportedly teaching a Blood how to Crip walk. All was fine in the world of OU fans for a few seconds, before the inevitable trick plays that Boise State used to upset the Sooners 43-42 in OT.
6. Ankle Breaker
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Baylor Bears
Date: 10/19/1996
Lord, help this Baylor Bear linebacker's children. They will be haunted for their lifetime because their daddy got the shit juked out of him, by one of the best Sooner running backs of all-time, De'Mond Parker. The 1996 season saw the Sooners go 3-8 with this game being of the one of the victories, 28 - 24.
5. Perk Up
Oklahoma Sooners vs. UCLA Bruins
Date: 9/20/2003
Can you return 3 punts for touchdowns in one game and set an NCAA record? Didn't think so. The Sooners went on to blow up the Bruins 59-24.
4. All Day
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Oklahoma State Cowbooys
Date: 10/30/2004
Freshman don't make plays like this, but A.D. wasn't any ordinary freshman. He was a grown ass man sent by football gods to entertain fans and eliminate linebackers. Sooners win, 38 -35.
3. Marshall Law
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas A&M Aggies
Date: 11/11/2000
The big bad linebacker from Miami, Torrance Marshall, picked off the pass for a pick six with some help in the form of a clip along the way from fellow linebacker, Rocky Calmus. This play helped the Sooners win 35-31 over the Aggies and undefeated during their championship season.
2. The Tight End Reverse
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers
Date: 11/23/1985
Keith Jackson was college football's Marty McFly. He went back in time to channel his inner Antonio Gates and ball out on some Cornhuskers in one of the greatest rivalry games of all-time helping the Sooners defeat the #2 ranked Cornhuskers. The Sooners also went on to win national title this season.
1. Super Roy
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns
Date: 10/6/2001
The Red River Rivalry has never been better this. Roy Williams flies through the air and essentially fucks up Chris Simms' career as a Longhorn, because Simms was never the same after this play. OU linebacker, Teddy Lehman caught the deflected ball and returned it for an interception touchdown as the Sooners went on to win 14-3.
