Professional athletes love connecting with their fans on Twitter, and it was the exact same deal with Smith. He tweeted that he was riding through New York City on his bike and told fans where he was going to be. The only problem was that Smith was doing this at 2 A.M. But fans showed up and they had a good time. #vamplife

Smith had everyone confused with his use of the letter K instead of the letter C in every tweet he made. It caused an uprising in the community of Denver and on Twitter. People felt like J.R. was substitute the letters to represent an association with the Bloods. Smith quickly deleted his twitter account after the heavy criticism he took because of this.

J.R. Smith's tenure in Denver was filled with plenty of ups and downs, and ended with Smith leaving to go play in China during the lockout. The fans in New York embraced him and he retweeted the sentiments of a twitter user that proved it while also taking a semi-shot at Denver. Smith cleared that up, but said he was cool with everyone without mentioning Nuggets coach George Karl. Sounds suspicious.
