Dwyane Wade Will Only Play for the Miami Heat Next Season

In a recent interview, Dwyane Wade said that the only team he would be willing to play for next season is the Miami Heat. He reportedly was recently offered a three-year, $25 million contract to play in China.

Over a decade removed from the dominant 2006 campaign that cemented him among the NBA's elite, Dwyane Wade is now one of the Association's most respected veterans and is also arguably the most celebrated member of the Miami Heat in franchise history. If D-Wade's latest comments are any indication, he has no plans of retiring anywhere except down in South Beach.

Currently a free agent, Wade recently told Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press that he has no desire to play basketball for anyone besides the Heat. "If I'm playing the game of basketball this year, it'll be in a Miami uniform," he said.

Still teamless, Flash would be entering his 16th NBA season. Despite a desire to add to his legacy in Miami, it appears his future is still currently up in the air.

One thing is for sure. Wade's most recent comments guarantee he will not be accepting the three-year, $25 million offer he reportedly received last month to play for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in China. Earlier this year, Wade also expressed that he was unsure if he would be playing this upcoming season at all.

While not the same superstar of old, Wade was still instrumental in the Heat's success last season by averaging 12 points off the bench and occasionally reminding the fans in Wade County what he used to do on a nightly basis with a handful of 20+ point performances and even some game-winners.
