Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston of the New Day faction took a shot at Kendrick Lamar and claimed Drake won their beef during the premiere episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, which took place in Los Angeles.

On Monday night, Woods and Kofi were conducting a segment with WWE broadcaster Jackie Redmond when they referenced the explosive beef between K-Dot and Drizzy. The WWE superstars have been on an excellent heel turn lately, and they added more fuel to the hate fans have developed for them by claiming Kendrick is trash and that Drake really won the battle.

"Think about it: for the past 6 months, y'all have been elevating this trash rapper Kendrick Lamar," said Woods.

"Yea, boo him, we think he sucks too, Boo him yes, yes. Boo him. So you're not mad at us. You're mad at Kendrick Lamar because Drake won the beef, right?"

The crowd erupted into loud boos, which Kofi and Woods seemed to happily enjoy as it brought on more heat to their villainous characters. The group started this heel turn when they turned their back on their longtime partner and friend, Big E, who has been out recovering from a neck injury.

The character switch surprised the WWE Universe, given that the group had been successful good guys for most of its time under the New Day banner. Fans have welcomed the change, as they've booed the group out of every arena they've appeared in, which is a good sign for heel characters.

The beef between Drake and Kendrick has been mentioned in WWE before. WWE legend and vice president of talent development creative for NXT, Shawn Michaels, acknowledged Kendrick's mention of his iconic Sweet Chin Music finisher in "Not Like Us" and invited the rappers to settle their differences in the ring.

"A little Sweet Chin Music goes a long way," Michaels wrote in response to a post from Kendrick featuring a YouTube link for the song. "@kendricklamar, you and @Drake are formally invited to #WWENXT to settle this thing. I'm even offering my services to mediate."
