Paul "Triple H" Levesque brought up former WWE CEO Vince McMahon in his Hall of Fame induction speech said he loved him. On Friday night at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel, Levesque was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and he had some words for the professional wrestling magnate who left the wrestling league's parent company last year amid sexual assault allegations.

According to Levesque, he has a complicated relationship with McMahon, who is also his father-in-law, as he married the boss' daughter, Stephanie McMahon, in 2003.

"There's one thing that I've skirted around all night long, but I've got to talk about it, and that's Vince," Triple H said. "It's a complicated story and a complicated relationship, but in so many ways, I would not be here without him."

He continued, "Not just in my business life, which would be enough on its own. In my career, he's the one that saw something in me creatively. Invited me in those production meetings, taught me, let me sit under that learning tree […] but also in my personal life, my family. He wasn't just my boss. He wasn't just a friend, he wasn't just a mentor. He would become my father-in-law."

Levesque told Vince, the grandfather of his three daughters, that he loved him, giving thanks for everything the WWE co-founder has done for him professionally and personally.

"When there's somebody that helps propel you that far, you owe them so much," Triple H said. "He taught me so much. What to do, what not to do. I'm grateful for all those lessons. I love you, Vince, and thank you."

Levesque was named the WWE's chief content officer in 2022, and still holds the title. According to a job description, Levesque's responsibilities include "creative writing, talent relations, live events, talent development and creative services departments."
