The New York Knicks may have celebrated their first NBA championship in more than five decades on Saturday (June 13), but not every fan left Madison Square Garden in a festive mood.

A video circulating on social media appears to show a lone San Antonio Spurs fan wearing a Dennis Rodman jersey and attempting to fight a large crowd of Knicks supporters inside Penn Station following New York's Game 5 victory.

The footage, shared by the Instagram account Diaper_Man_Official, shows the man shoving several people, chasing others, and throwing multiple punches as Knicks fans surround him and shout from all directions.

At one point, a police officer steps in and attempts to calm the situation before escorting the fan away as members of the crowd continue to taunt him. It is unclear what sparked the confrontation or whether anyone involved was arrested or injured.

The chaotic scene took place after the Knicks defeated the Spurs to win the NBA Finals 4-1, securing the franchise's first championship since 1973.

For some, the celebration spilled into disorder.

Videos from near Times Square appeared to show a school bus set on fire as thousands of fans flooded the streets to celebrate the historic win. Other clips showed large crowds and people climbing on vehicles, setting off fireworks, and clashing with police.

The Penn Station incident is the latest in a string of fan altercations throughout the Finals.

Violence erupted after Game 3 in New York when a Spurs fan was allegedly assaulted amid postgame chaos near Bryant Park. That night, police took 21 people into custody, and several New York Police Department officers suffered injuries as crowds overflowed onto surrounding streets.

Another incident occurred after Game 4 when a 17-year-old Knicks fan was beaten during a livestreamed fight that reportedly began after a man yelled "Spurs in 7." The teenager was rushed to New York’s Bellevue Hospital, where he later emerged from a coma and was listed in critical but stable condition.

The rising tensions prompted former San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg to urge Spurs fans to remain respectful before Game 5, while Knicks owner James Dolan asked for restraint in the aftermath of the championship win.
