Shaquille O'Neal surprised students when he visited his high school alma mater in San Antonio, Texas over the weekend.

O'Neal stopped by Robert G. Cole High School in San Antonio during, where he was in town for NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four weekend. Shaq hosted a shooting competition between two seniors at his old high school and took photos with students during the event.

Shaq honed his basketball skills at Robert G. Cole High School, where he led the team to a 68-1 record in two seasons. He holds the state record for total rebounds at 791, and won a state championship in his senior year.

The Big Diesel graduated in 1989 and went on to Louisiana State University, becoming a two-time All-American, two-time SEC Player of the Year, and recipient of the Adolph Rupp Trophy as NCAA Men's Basketball Player of the Year in 1991. Although he could never bring LSU to an NCAA championship, Shaq was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame and has a bronze statue in front of the LSU Basketball Practice Facility.

Shaq recently spoke about how a showdown between himself and Nikola Jokic would go down if he was in his prime. According to Shaq, he would make quick work of Jokic, who he referred to as "Serbian BBQ chicken."

"I'm getting 40, and they're going to have to double me, and he probably going to pick and pop and take me all that, but he probably won't be in the game awhile cause he shoot the three I'm running right to the middle lane and holding the rim," he said. "I'ma hit way more twos than you hit threes guarantee you that [...] and I'ma make his brothers want to fight me cause the first play of the game...elbow."
