Roger Goodell has made it clear he's a fan of Kendrick Lamar following the explosive announcement that the rapper would be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

On Wednesday night, TMZ Sports caught up with Goodell and his wife Jane as they were walking around New York City and asked his thoughts regarding next year's Super Bowl Halftime Show being headlined by K Dot. According to Goodell, he's "feeling great" about Kendrick handling the halftime show and admitted he's an absolute fan of the Compton native.

Goodell didn't say anything besides that, though, such as which songs were his favorite, but he made it clear he's looking forward to seeing what the pgLang rapper is going to cook up for the big show.

Despite Goodell and many other people who are hyped for Kendrick to take the stage in New Orleans next year, some are upset that Lil Wayne wasn't selected to perform. Weezy has discussed wanting to perform at the Super Bowl, especially in his hometown NOLA, but the odds weren't in his favor this time.

People have come to Wayne's defense, especially his YMCMB family. Drake shared photos of Wayne on his Instagram Story while Birdman shared his thoughts on X and called for people to "respek" the YMCMB militia. However, Nicki Minaj appeared to go off and took shots at Jay-Z, who has been in charge of the halftime show for a couple of years now.

"One n***a took a knee. The other n***a took the bag," she tweeted, appearing to reference Colin Kaepernick. "He gon get you 'n*****s' in line every fkng time. ... Got everything in the world. Still spiteful & evil. Disgusting. Be happy Abeg. Go be fang happy n***a!!!!! In rap business. In women business. When you got the politicians & the police yougood tho. Plus dat ugly laugh taffy alien."
