A huge brawl took place between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons during a game on Sunday.

The fight broke out in the second quarter when the Timberwolves' Naz Reid was fouled by Ron Holland while driving to the basket. Reid clearly took exception with the foul and started jawing at Holland. That's when things went nuclear.

A shoving match then broke out between the Wolves’ Donte DiVincenzo and Holland before coaches cleared the benches prompting what looked like an all-out brawl. As seen in the video below, the melee even spilled into the front row under the Wolves’ basket.

Reid, DiVincenzo, and Pablo Prigioni, the Wolves' assistant coach, were ejected as a result of the brawl. On the Pistons' side, Holland, Marcus Sasser, Isaiah Stewart, and head coach J.B. Bickerstaff were sent to the locker room. According to Sports Illustrated, several players, such as DiVincenzo and Holland are more than likely going to be suspended.

The consequences of the brawl could have serious ramifications for both teams, as the playoffs are right around the corner. The Pistons are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and are only one game behind the Pacers for the fourth seed.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves are in seventh place and are a half-game back from the sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors. The team is looking to avoid the play-in tournament as seven regular season games are left before the playoffs begin next month.
