Kevin Durant is pushing back against explosive claims by former NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, who alleged that multiple fistfights broke out in the Phoenix Suns' locker room throughout the 2024–25 season.

Cousins made the comments on Friday during an appearance on Run It Back, claiming the Suns' disappointing season was plagued by locker room turmoil due to 'a couple of fistfights.' Durant, the Suns’ biggest star, caught wind of the remarks and wasted no time responding.

"I have to contest this 94 footer. This some bullshit to throw on us. Yea yea yea we were trash this year ha ha ha but we NEVER got close to this. NEVER," he wrote on social media, denying that any physical altercations occurred.

Cousins, however, doubled down on his comments, saying: "The source was one of your teammates killa. And I wasn't referring to you! . Save this shit for the others homie…"

Durant replied: "Whoa whoa Boog, I don't want no problems with you or anybody on earth. I Promise, all I'm saying is your source is lying."

Despite Durant denying any fights within the team, the Suns stumbled to a 36-46 finish, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2020 and falling short of the championship expectations tied to their high-priced, All-Star-laden roster. With the team now entering the offseason in disarray, it is widely expected that Durant will be traded.

ESPN insider Shams Charania recently reported on The Pat McAfee Show that a trade involving Durant could happen within days. Teams linked to the 15-time All-Star include the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves. Durant, 36, remained one of the NBA's top performers, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists over 62 games.
