Jake and Logan Paul Announce New Reality Show 'Paul American' (UPDATE)

The fight comes after Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson last November.

UPDATED 1/31/25 4:11 p.m.ET: Jake and Logan Paul are officially not facing off in the ring. HBO Max announced yesterday (Jan. 30) that the two brothers are set to star in a new reality show, Paul American. The eight-episode series will kick off on March 27 on the streamer and will air weekly.

Max announced that the series will have archival and never-before-seen footage of the viral duo. “With unparalleled access to the Paul family and their inner circle, Paul American peels back the curtain on the most raw, honest, and intimate moments in the brothers’ over-the-top, high-octane lives," said the streamer in a statement.

“We’ve built our lives in front of the world, but Paul American is the raw, unfiltered truth behind everything you think you know about us. It isn’t just about the headlines or the viral moments — it’s about the journey that got us here,” said the brothers to Variety. “For the first time, our fans will get to see the real people who shape our lives: our mom, dad, Jutta, Nina, and everyone else in our inner circle."

"As athletes, we’ve poured everything into proving ourselves in the ring and breaking barriers in sports, entertainment, and beyond," they continued. "But at the core of it all is family and the relationships that keep us grounded."

UPDATED 1/28/25, 3:56 p.m. ET: Jake and Logan Paul may have proved they are marketing geniuses as their huge announcement may not actually be for an actual bout.

Shortly after the Paul brothers seemingly hinted they would fight each other in March, ESPN Boxing insider Mike Coppinger reported that "multiple sources" stated the siblings would not be competing and instead release a reality series. Sports Illustrated Senior Writer Chris Mannix also confirmed Coppinger's news, stating a source told him a sanctioned fight between the brothers wasn't formally announced.

Jake Paul and Logan Paul will finally be taking each other on in the ring.

On Tuesday, the Paul brothers announced they would be fighting each other on March 27. There is no further information on if this is a boxing match. The highly anticipated bout will be streamed on Max.

"The moment you’ve waited a decade for… March 27 on @streamonmax," Logan captioned the post of the flyer showing him and his brother standing face to face.

This will be the first time the brothers will face each other in a combat sport. A lot is going into the fight, as they've feuded several times with one another over the years. They've dropped diss tracks ("Logan Sucks" and "The Fall of Jake Paul") and claimed to have slept with each other's ex-girlfriends.

In an interview with Complex, Jake first hinted that he was working with Netflix on setting up a fight with his brother. According to Paul, the brothers are in a good spot in their relationship to hold a fight that wouldn't have any "negative repercussions."

"I think we could genuinely just go in there and see who the better fighter is and then shake hands, be brothers, and love each other the next day. That's what it's all about," he said.

Logan has been pretty quiet on the fighting scene as he announced last December he would retire from the WWE to focus on being a dad to his newborn child. However, in true Paul fashion, Logan flipped the script and made an appearance on the Monday Night Raw on Netflix premiere earlier this month.

He showed up again on the Jan. 27 episode of Raw to announce he would be participating in the 2025 Royal Rumble match taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Feb. 1.
