Ice Cube Yelled at Frankie Muniz to Take a Charge During Celebrity Basketball Game, Rapper’s Son O’Shea Jackson Jr. Recalls

Ice Cube takes the game of basketball pretty seriously, and he showed that during a celebrity game with Frankie Muniz, according to his son O'Shea Jackson Jr.

On Wednesday, O'Shea hopped X to retweet a photo of Muniz and Nick Cannon wearing 2001-2002 Golden State Warriors jerseys with a caption that revealed his dad once told the Malcolm in the Middle star to get possession of the ball in the most unconventional way. According to O'Shea, Cube yelled at Muniz to take a charge during a celebrity basketball game.

"My dad once yelled at Frankie Muniz to take a charge during a celebrity game. Which is insane," O'Shea wrote.

Upon further research, this moment might have happened during the 2005 NBA Entertainment League Charity Basketball Game, where both Cube and Muniz played. Asking someone to take charge during a celebrity game is absolutely out of pocket, as the person is putting their body in the way of another player to force a turnover. A charge is usually reserved for an actual game, so to ask a celebrity to take one in a light-hearted matchup that most players aren't giving their all is hilarious.

Aubrey Plaza seems to take the game of basketball pretty seriously, too, as she suffered a torn ACL during the WNBA All-Star weekend. According to sports broadcaster Ryan Ruocco, Plaza played a game of Knockout at the Phoenix Mercury's practice facility last Saturday and tore her ACL.

The injury didn't keep her down as she showed up to the All-Star game with crutches and a knee brace around her leg along with an ice pack. It was the second time Plaza suffered injury as she tore it while playing in disguise at a women's recreation league in Los Angeles.
