Former NFL Star Eddie Lacy Arrested and Charged With 'Extreme DUI'

The 34-year-old was drafted out of Alabama in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.

Former NFL player Eddie Lacy was arrested for allegedly drunk driving in Arizona.

On Monday night, the Scottsdale Police Department pulled Lacy over at around 10:40 PM after they saw him violating several traffic laws. Once pulled over, police say he was showing signs of intoxication and hit him with four different DUI charges, including Extreme DUI, BAC .20 or more."

According to a spokesperson for the Scottsdale Police Department, Lacy was also charged with "liquor—possess open container in vehicle." Additional details on Lacy's arrest were not made public as of press time, but he was released on Tuesday morning.

The 34-year-old was drafted out of Alabama in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers and went on a tear in his first two seasons, totaling over 2,000 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. He received a Pro Bowl nomination and won Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year in his first year in the league.

In four seasons with Green Bay, Lacy put up 3,435 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns. He also caught six touchdown passes and put up 900 receiving yards before struggling with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017.

After his stint with Seattle, where he played in nine games and had 179 yards on 69 carries with 0 touchdowns, Lacy was out of the league.
