DeMar DeRozan found himself in a tense altercation with a person at a sushi restaurant.
On Friday night (April 18), the six-time NBA All-Star was having dinner when a man approached his dinner table to record him and ask a question that he didn't take kindly. In footage circulating online, the man can be seen approaching DeRozan and flashed the phone in his face with a bright light while saying he was getting kicked out of the restaurant.
DeRozan appeared startled and wasted no time shoving the phone out of his face and getting in the face of the man trying to get his attention. Things got out of hand as the footage showed the man sitting on a stretcher while an EMT tended to him.
Another piece of footage showed the altercation from a different point of view, where DeRozan appeared to put the man on the ground. Once the man got back to his feet, he demanded that he get his phone back, which caused DeRozan to take a jab at him. In the middle of all the fracas, a woman can be heard telling DeRozan the man is "not worth it." The video ended with DeRozan retreating to another area of the restaurant.
According to TMZ, that wasn't the end of the issue. Police told the outlet they responded to the altercation involving DeRozan and that an investigation is now open.
