Barkley claimed the people of the city were so stupid that they booed him for seeking help for the homeless.

Charles Barkley was booed by San Francisco natives when he tried to speak about improving the city's homelessness issue.

During a special Inside the NBA episode outside Chase Center before NBA All-Star Weekend, Barkley took a second to clarify that he has no issue with the city, despite having made harsh comments about The Bay in the past. According to Barkley, the city is a nice place, but something should be done about the increasing homeless population that has taken to the streets.

"You know what? I actually like San Francisco, I really do," said Barkley. "Honestly, hey listen. We've got to do something about the homeless. They need their help. We've got to clean it up a little bit."

Fans watching the live broadcast of Inside the NBA outside of the arena began mercifully booing Sir Charles, which led to him taking another dig at the intelligence of the San Francisco locals.

After receiving a large round of boos, Barkley responded, "I said help the homeless,' and some of these people are so stupid, they booed."

Barkley's beef with San Francisco dates back to 2007 when he began trashing the area during various playoff games. It got so bad that last month, he said he wouldn't be coming to the city for NBA All-Star weekend, but he's currently there for the festivities, and there's clearly no love lost on either side.

Barkley has his own team for the big event on Sunday thanks to the NBA incorporating a new four-team All-Star Game format, giving the four Inside the NBA hosts their own squads.
