Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade had a field day breaking down the game tape of Joe Budden playing pick-up basketball with his podcast crew.
On the latest episode of 7PM in Brooklyn, Melo and D Wade watched the highlights of The Joe Budden Podcast pick-up game that was livestreamed a few days ago, and the NBA legends couldn't help but laugh. Melo and D Wade spoke about the pick-up game during the "FWI or FOH" segment of the show, and they couldn't believe how bizarre Budden and his crew looked on the court.
"The intro to the clip is crazy," said Melo in reaction to the way Budden was standing while trying to direct the offense. "Mouse in the house, he sizing them up, look!"
Wade added, "Joe look like he'll call a foul and he'll take his ball when he don't get a call."
Budden performed an array of moves, such as Melo's iconic triple threat position which had him burst into a roar of laughter. There was one moment where Melo and Wade lost it when Budden came out of the triple threat stance and tried to throw the ball off the backboard in an attempt to score.
"I think that's the worst pick-up game I've ever seen. Tell me that was a skit," said Melo. "I fuck with the fact that Joe Budden actually thought he was athletic enough to step through off the backboard and catch it. Nah."
Wade added, "Was that a triple threat? [...] Thank you for the content Joe [...] I've never seen that."
The Joe Budden Podcast pick-up game was streamed to the platform's Patreon subscribers. On one team were co-hosts Marc Lamont Hill, Richard Parks Vallely, and Emanny Salgado, while Budden and Antwan 'Ish' Marby were on the other team, with some recurring podcast guests and friends filling the rest of the rosters.
