Following initial reports of Neymar being accused of rape in Paris, BBC reports that the accuser, Najila Trindade of Brazil, has made her first television appearance since the alleged incident.

In the interview, she says she insisted on the use of a condom during their initial encounter, but Neymar refused and proceeded to commit sexual acts on her, despite her protests.

Additionally, video footage surfaced which shows the pair laying in bed. In the video, which was secretly recorded by Trindade, she is heard saying, "I'm going to hit you. Want to know know why? Because you assaulted me yesterday and left me here alone." An altercation then ensues. Neymar has said they met in-person a total of two times.

After filing the suit on Friday, she came to an impasse with her first legal reps, ultimately parting ways on Saturday. During the interview, Trindade spoke of her former legal counsel, saying, "He didn't fully believe me. I felt he was prejudiced. He portrayed it as if I'd not been raped, that I had wanted it."

In the wake of the accusations, the Paris Saint-Germain star took to Instagram to explain his side of the story. "I'm very upset but from now on I'll expose or tell all about what happened with that girl," he said. It was an intimate thing but I have to open myself up to prove that nothing exceptional happened."

His explanation came alongside a thread of WhatsApp messages which included pictures of Ms. Trindade, who did not consent to him doing so. Because of this, he may be investigated for violating laws that protect individuals' right to privacy.
