The Georgia Bulldogs​ beat the Oklahoma Sooners 54-48 at the 2018 Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, California, securing a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship​.

Georgia was able to secure the victory after going into double overtime. It was Georgia's first time participating in the Rose Bowl since their 1943 win against UCLA, SB Nationpoints out. After much back and forth in what turned out to be an exhilarating game, the two teams were tied at 48 at the end of the fourth quarter, necessitating some double overtime action.
