Serena Williams gave birth to a baby girl on September 1, and on Wednesday, she gave the world its first look at her newborn daughter. She put up an Instagram post featuring a photo of the baby along with an Instagram story that features video of Serena holding her.
Serena’s daughter’s full name is Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., and she is apparently named after her father Alexis Ohanian. The little girl already has her own Instagram account, because of course she does, and on IG, she was introduced as Olympia Ohanian, which suggests she’ll be going by Olympia. Olympia currently only follows her parents on the social media site, which sounds about right considering she's a baby who is just barely two weeks old.
Ohanian is the co-founder of Reddit, and he and Serena are currently engaged. He shared the following video to his YouTube channel, which follows Olympia’s journey from ultrasound to the first few days of her life.
Olympia already got the superstar treatment when she was born. All of her mom’s famous friends, including Beyoncé, Ciara, Roger Federer, and her aunt Venus, had nothing but nice things to say when the news broke that she had been brought into the world. Now that she’s already on Instagram and has her own origin story video, it looks like Olympia is all set to start a very happy life.
