We can finally put this meme to rest.

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has been named the 2016-17 NBA MVP. After putting up 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game, Westbrook became the second player since Oscar Robertson in 1961-62 to average a triple-double in a season. Russ also managed to lead the Thunder to a sixth-place finish in the Western Conference with a 47-35 record.

As for the other awards handed out, Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon received the Rookie of the Year award.

Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon was named the Sixth Man of the Year.

Gordon's teammate Patrick Beverley was the recipient of this year's NBA Hustle Award.

Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker took home the Sportsmanship Award.

To no one's surprise, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was the league's Most Improved Player.
