In case you had your doubts, the Based God Curse is very real. One week ago, Lil B informed James Harden that the curse was back on after the Houston Rockets star guard posted a picture of himself doing the cooking dance with the caption, "7days until the cook is back to work! #HTown"
Now, we are seeing the curse in action. In the first two games of the season, Harden has gone 28.6 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from beyond the arc. To make matters worse, the Rockets are 0-2 and even some, er, one of his teammates caught an extremely embarrassing L for the whole world to see last night.
And speaking of last night, following the Golden State Warriors' 112-92 win over the Rockets on Friday, The Based God hopped on Twitter to make sure everyone realized the power of the curse.
Listen, Harden, you have too much pride to just acknowledge that you're doing the Lil B cooking dance, but this curse is now starting to hurt your own teammates! Dwight Howard is getting posterized. The team is still looking for their first win of the 2015-16 campaign. What else needs to happen before you succumb to the power of the curse?
