A lifelong Los Angeles Lakers fan is reportedly suing LeBron James because he felt as though he was deceived by "The Second Decision" teaser video.

In a lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, Andrew Garcia is accusing James of implying that he was going to announce his retirement with "The Second Decision." Garcia was not the only one who made that assumption.

According to TickPick, prices for the Lakers' final home game of the 2025-26 season had skyrocketed after the teaser video was posted.

Garcia bought two tickets, worth $432.83 each, on Ticketmaster, for when the Lakers host the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 31, according to TMZ. The 29-year-old claims he thought he would be attending LeBron's final game against the team that drafted him.

After finding out "The Second Decision" was an ad for Hennessy, Garcia is seeking $865.66 as reimbursement for his rash decision, per TMZ.

In 2022, James became the first active NBA player to reach billionaire status, as reported by Forbes. Despite his exorbitant wealth, LeBron has been known to be quite...frugal, according to his former Heat and Cavaliers teammate Dwyane Wade.

With that being said, James will probably put up a fight in court before forking over $900 to Garcia — that is, if the case does not get thrown out first.
